Togouchi is the blended whisky of Chugoku Jozo, a house founded near the city of Hiroshima. Since 1918, the distillery has produced fruit liqueurs, sake and shochu under the brands Dharma and Songshan, a long-aged shochu.
In 1990, Chugoku Jozo began blending whiskies under the Togouchi name. The house does not distill whisky itself; rather, it imports spirit already distilled — malt whisky directly from Scotland, grain whisky from Canada.
Aging and blending alone are entrusted to Chugoku Jozo’s master blenders, whose hands shape each Togouchi expression.
