Auchentoshan

Founded in 1823, Auchentoshan (pronounced Ock-un-tosh-un) stands on the mainland of Scotland between Glasgow and Loch Lomond, at the foot of the Kilpatrick Hills overlooking the River Clyde, once renowned as the Scottish gateway to the world. Known as the city’s single malt, this Lowlands distillery has taken the progress and diversity of its ever-changing birthplace to heart for more than 190 years.

The name means corner of the field, and the whisky bears it out: a delicate, smooth and light single malt. Its subtle aroma and flavour are achieved through a unique triple distillation, in which the spirit is distilled not twice, as elsewhere in Scotland, but three times, lending even greater refinement to its character.
