Founded in 1998 by Roustam Tariko, Russian Standard is a premium Russian vodka built on the principles established in 1894 by Dmitri Mendeleev, the St. Petersburg scientist who gave the world the periodic table and the standard for vodka making.
A century on, graduates of St. Petersburg University work alongside the distillery’s specialists as modern-day Mendeleevs, applying the chemical analysis of natural water and gas chromatography to ensure the vodka is ultra-clean, while developing techniques in vodka chemistry no one has tried before.
A proprietary distillation process retains the natural sensory character of the pure spirit while filtering out impurities; the Super Luxe grade passes through over 200 distillation stages. Russian birch charcoal mellows the taste, quartz crystal from the Urals Mountains lends a smoother finish, and silver refines the spirit further.
