Jura
The only (legal) distillery operating on the island of Jura to the north of Islay. With less than 200 people living on the island, it's at the heart of their community and sits in the middle of Craighouse, the island's biggest town.
Origin 10 year old
Light and delicate, a very nice starter to drinking malt whisky. Great way to start the evening with an aperitif to start the night off.
Wrong way of thinking: the older the better, the darker the colour the better – we don't believe that is true. 10: gives an nice expression of this lightness. Our nice tallest stills give off a light delicate flavour in the 10
Suggest; all very personable, smells are like memories, then you pluck it out, it’s an experience and a journey, putting yourself through that journey.
Light flagrant, a little salty – the distillery is almost on the Atlantic, nice with water, almost disappears off the palate
